What Awaits You
Reality has a number, and it's dropping
Our Universe is merging with another causing new physics - new threats. Reality itself is buckling under the strain. Hume levels are measurable, monitored, and falling. When they drop low enough, the laws of physics become suggestions, and what leaks through the cracks doesn't follow any laws at all.
Humanity, Scattered & Changed
Thousands of years after fleeing a dying Earth, humanity has splintered into something unrecognizable. The insectoid race of the Armatis, deep-sea living Cephala, plant-like folk called Petals, the mechinized synthetic lifeforms call Nova, the Vox; a human-like relitive touched by the Void, the Plastoids, a race of once inslaved servents set free, and the many forms of the Inani who helm from a realm somewhere between our world and the Void. Each divided by biology, politics, and a war that never truly ends.
Power at a Cost
Psionic abilities are real, devastating, and dangerous — not to your enemies, but to the fabric of reality around you. Every ability you use lowers the Humes in your area, and when they drop far enough, Reality Distortion Events begin. Your greatest weapon is also everyone's greatest threat.
Your Choices, Your Scars
Every wound tells a story. Bleeding doesn't stop because combat ended. Mental Traumas stack as your sanity erodes. Paranoia, hallucinations, or explosive rage. Each one mechanically warping you until you can shrug off the Sanity Damage with time & rest. There are no disposable encounters here. Every fight costs something, and some of the things you survive may leave marks that don't wash off.
"These creatures from the Void. What are they like?"
"Imagine being able to tell your cat that you need to go to the store to buy them more cat food. Now, let's say you forced them to understand that concept at your human level. The nouns alone would fracture their mind. But that's just it. To them out there in the Void; you're the cat. They're always trying to speak to us...
and it'll drive you mad if you listen too closely"
